TEXT:President Barack Obama takes to the air, slamming presidential candidate Mitt Romney for "writing off" a big part of America. U.S. PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA SAYING: "I don't know what he was referring to, but I can tell you this, when I won in 2008, 47 percent of the American people voted for John McCain, they didn't vote for me and what I said on election night was even though you didn't vote for me, I hear your voices and I'm going to work as hard as I can to be your President and one of the things I've learned as President is you represent the entire country and when I meet republicans as I'm traveling around the country, they are hard working family people who care deeply about this country and my expectation is that if you want to be president you got to work for everybody not just for some." The appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman came after Romney was secretly taped dismissing Obama's supporters as victims living off state handouts. As the November election looms, Romney has stood by his comments, but has admitted they were badly stated.

2【Heavy security as U.S. diplomat arrives in Tripoli】美国外交官在严密安护下抵达的黎波里

TEXT:Heavy security as U.S. Deputy Secretary of State William Burns arrives in Tripoli ... one week after a deadly attack on the U.S. consulate in the eastern Libyan city of Benghazi. Burns will meet with Libya's new leaders and is scheduled to attend a ceremony for U.S. ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens, who was killed in the attack. The government has already offered its apologies. Stevens and three other Americans died last week when gunmen attacked the U.S. consulate. U.S. government sources now say that the consulate sent a message that it was suddenly under heavily armed assault at 9:35 in the evening ... contradicting earlier claims that the building was attacked by crowds of protesters upset over a video mocking the Prophet Mohammad. A top U.S. counter-terrorism official told Congress Wednesday the assault was a "terrorist attack" that may have had an al Qaeda connection.
