TEXT:President Obama is back up in the latest Ipson/ Reuters Daily Election Tracking poll from 42 percent after the Republican Convention -- to 48 percent as of this week.. Romney stands at 43 percent... evidence of a few bad weeks. First he was accused by Democrats and some of his own party of political motivation when he slammed Obama's response to attacks on U.S. diplomatic compounds in Egypt and Libya.REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE, MITT ROMNEY, SAYING: "I also believe the administration was wrong to stand by a statement sympathizing with those that had breached our embassy in Egypt instead of condemning their actions." Romney's troubles worsened when he said about 47 percent of Americans were overly dependent on aid programs. Obama was quick to pounce. PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA SAYING: "The values we believe in don't just belong to workers or businesses, the 53 percent or the 47 percent, the rich or the poor, the 1 percent, the 99 percent -- these are American values. They belong to all of us. " So what does Romney have to do to regain his campaign? Advice from a former Republican congressman- stop putting your foot in your mouth. FORMER REPUBLICAN CONGRESSMAN, MARK KENNEDY, SAYING: "...And if you look at most of the challenges that Romney's had it isn't because of something Obama's done, it's been self-inflicted. So just focus on looking Presidential, giving solid answers to each question..and that in the end could be the result of him getting this campaign back on track." With only a few weeks left until the November elections Romney is banking on his performance in upcoming debates. The first, set for October 3, will focus on the economy and set the narrative for the final month of the campaign.

TEXT:The scene near the U.S. embassy in Pakistan where anger over an anti-Islam film is still very much alive. Washington is so concerned about the violence they've released this video message to the Pakistani people. U.S. President Barack Obama saying: "Since our founding, the United States is a state that protects all faiths. We reject all efforts to denigrate the religious beliefs of others." U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton saying: "Let me state very clearly and I hope it is obvious that the United States government had nothing to do with this video." This is the U.S.'s latest effort to distance itself from a privately made film mocking the Prophet Mohammad. Protesters' hopes to storm the embassy were thwarted by shipping containers set up as barricades outside and rounds of tear gas fired by police. Six people have been reported killed in the protests on Friday.
