Surrounded by fields, mountains and rivers,
the Old Town of Lijiang looks like a jade ink stone in spring and summer. This is why the local people proudly call their town "Dayan", meaning the Town of the Big Ink Stone. Each year, many foreign tourists visit the Old Town and the place is like "Venice in the East" to them.
