He also stressed on the need for consistency in anti-corruption efforts to eradicate it completely and earn public trust with actual results. China says it's maintaining communication with Japan on the Diaoyu Islands issue. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hong Lei says China is urging Japan to calmly handle the situation and show sincerity in working with China to properly resolve the dispute. His remarks come as the leader of Japan's New Komeito Party kicks off a three-day visit to China. Natsuo Yamaguchi is reportedly bringing a personal letter from Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping. He became the first member of a ruling party to visit China since Abe unveiled his new cabinet in late December.
