The cause of the accident is under investigation. The New York City Fire Department says a crane collapsed in the borough of Queens, injuring several people, some of whom have been hospitalized. The equipment is described as a mobile crane unit. The Washington National Cathedral will soon begin hosting same-sex marriages. Cathedral officials say the church will be among the first Episcopal congregations to implement a new rite of marriage for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender members. Scientists and broadcasters say they have captured video images of a giant squid in its natural habitat for the first time.
