A former provincial official in east China's Jiangxi has been sentenced to death with a two-year reprieve for taking bribes. Wu Zhiming, former vice secretary-general of the Jiangxi provincial government, was found guilty of taking bribes worth nearly 48-million yuan. The sentence was delivered by an intermediate court at the first instance trial. The ruling parties of China and Russia have held their third dialogue meeting in Beijing. Representatives of the Communist Party of China and the United Russia party exchanged views on inner-party democracy and anti-corruption work, among other topics. The dialogue mechanism was launched in Beijing in June 2009, and its second meeting was held in Moscow in March 2010.
