At least twenty people, including women and children have been killed in India, and several others injured following a stampede on a bridge over the Ganges river during a religious ceremony. A temporary bridge made of bamboo collapsed during a heavy rush of people, mainly devotees and their family members. The accident happened in Patna, capital of east India's Bihar state during the Chhath festival celebrations, a festival which worships the Sun. Colombia's Revolutionary Armed Forces, FARC announced a unilateral cease-fire on Monday at the start of peace talks with the Colombian government in Havana, the capital of Cuba. The talks are aimed at ending the five decades of fighting. Ivan Marquez, leader of the FARC delegation began by ordering all guerilla units across the country to cease all offensive operations as peace talks got underway. FARC negotiators say the ceasefire, which is due to last until January 20th 2013,
