Post-Tropical Cyclone Sandy made landfall along the U.S coast of southern New Jersey state earlier with winds holding at 130-kilometers-per-hour. So far broadcaster CNN is reporting 5 deaths and 2.2 million people without power. Parts of the New York subway are reported to have flooded. The storm is moving northeast at 37-kilometers-per-hour. Sandy, will meet up with cold fronts coming out of the northwest and a high pressure system from Greenland. It could be as powerful as, or even worse than the 1991 storm. Sandy could impact around 50-million Americans. The Mexican navy has rescued fourteen Central American migrants who were kidnapped in the northeastern state of Tamaulipas. Two suspected captors have since been arrested. The operation took place on Saturday following a tip-off people were being held at a residence. The fourteen hostages said they had been abducted in the outskirts of three different cities in Tamaulipas.
