China aims to double 2010 GDP by 2020

The world's second largest economy aims to double its GDP and household income by 2020 from 2010, which means, according to economists, China should keep it GDP growth rate at 6.5% at least. The Five-Year Plan also says the contribution of consumption to economic growth should be significantly raised.
The Plan has stressed the importance of innovation to economy as well as to the Chinese society, specifically referring to the implementation of "internet plus" and a "national big data strategy".
The plan also says that China will further integrate with global economy, by building special economic zones along the border and the coastal line, and further implementing the Road and Belt initiative. China will also pursue a bigger role in global economic governance.
