Akio Toyoda 丰田章男
丰田公司总裁丰田章男出席了美国的听证会，就汽车安全问题接受了美国议员的质询。他在听证会上向消费者道歉。他说道：
I regret that this has resulted in the safety issues described in the recalls we face today, and I am deeply sorry for any accidents that Toyota drivers have experienced.
我很抱歉这导致了我们今天面对的召回中的安全问题，我对丰田的车主们遭遇过的任何事故感到由衷的抱歉。
In the past few months our customers have started to be unsure about the safety of Toyota vehicles, and I take full responsibility for that.
在过去几个月里，消费者开始怀疑丰田汽车的安全性，对此我承担全部的责任。
丰田章男已于3月1日来到北京向中国消费者道歉，他说：
I would like to apologize from the bottom of my heart for the worries that we have caused to the people around the world, including China, for the recent recalls. I'm very sorry.
我发自内心的为我们给包括中国在内的全球消费者带来的担忧表示道歉，为我们最近的召回事件表示道歉。真的对不起。
恐怕丰田在开始召回第一辆车的时候也没有想到事情会落到今天这个局面。这次的召回加上之前传出的内部文件对丰田这个品牌绝对算得上是个重大的打击。做品牌和做企业，诚信总是最重要的。
