Lesson 12 Dialogue Follow-up Meetings
Matt: Ms. Nelson. I thought you were on a business trip to Chicago?
Wendy: I was. I just got back this morning.
Matt: I see. Was your trip prosperous?
Wendy: Yes, it was. I was able to get a deal signed that should bring in substantial revenue.
Matt: Great! I'm glad everything panned out. Oh, by the way, this is Mr. Rick Zimmerman from T&S Group.
They were ranked one of the best up-and-coming energy companies for three consecutive years. He is here to streamline the follow-up review process of the current project.
Wendy: How do you do, Mr. Zimmerman?
Mr. Zimmerman: How do you do? It's a pleasure to meet you.
Matt: Mr. Zimmerman is one of our top clients. They're right there on the cutting edge. I'm sure you'll be reading about some of their breakthroughs in the coming months.
Mr. Zimmerman: Well, we still have some work cut out for us. I wouldn't toot our horn just yet.
Matt: Oh, you're just being modest. By the way, We're going to have dinner at Ruby Friday after the review. Can you join us?
Wendy: I'm afraid not. I have to meet with our CFO to discuss our present deal. We also need to discuss the details on how to follow through afterward. Can I take a rain check?
Matt: Sure. Well, good luck with your meeting.
