One of the zookeepers talks about this. He says that some zoos do it. He says that the game is an exercise for the animals. He says that people can learn about the animals from this.

Some people criticise the zoo for this. They say that it is not normal for animals to play this game. They say that the zoo is doing it just to be special.

Notes:

1. tug of war：拔河，tug是“拉，拽”的意思。

2. zookeeper：n. 动物园管理员，由zoo（动物园）和keeper（管理人）两个词组合而来，类似的表达还有shop keeper，“店主”；gate keeper，“看门人”；goal keeper，“守门员”等。

3. exercise：n. 运动，锻炼，也有“练习题”的意思。

4. criticise：v. 批评，也拼作criticize，“为某事批评某人”英文表述为criticise sb. for sth.。
