Dear Tom，
My parents and I had a trip to Mount Tai on New Year's Day．We had lunch in a small restaurant．During the dinner, all English friend next to us seemed to be asking for something to eat．But he couldn't．speak Chinese．Father went up to him and had a talk with him．My father helped him order some nice Chinese food．The Englishman had a nice dinner and was very pleased．He asked my father to call on him if he had a chance to visit England．To my great joy, I understood all that they talked．I was very happy because I had made great progress in English．
