220.男孩和女孩
As the crowd coming out of the theater began to thin out Jill and Michelle began talking about the boys that had tried to cut in line in front of them before the movie.
随着从剧院出来的人群开始变得稀少，吉尔和米歇尔开始谈论那些电影开演之前想在他们前面插队的男孩子。
Wow! There's, like, no telling what boys will do to get into a movie early! Jill said.
“哇！好像还真说不准男孩儿们为了早点儿进电影院会做出什么事来！”吉尔说。
I know! Michelle replied. "I think so little of them sometimes! They just think nothing of being rude or impolite! I mean, they're really so different from us girls. We always at least act as if there is no rush to something! They just barge in like there's nothing to it!"
“我知道！”米歇尔回答道。“有时候我就是看不起他们！他们才不管粗鲁还是无礼呢！我是说，他们真的跟我们女孩大不一样。我们至少经常注意行为举止，好像做事都不用着急！他们却乱冲乱撞，好像一点儿关系也没有！”
I know! But things could be worse! They could want to be asking us out on a date! And once they start that you know that there's no end to it!
“这我知道！可是事情可能还会更糟！他们可能想叫我们出去约会呢！只要一开始，你知道他们就会没完没了！”
Oh God! no! But then again, Michelle said as she turned to look up at the stars, "remember that one boy with the hair that was thin on top? He was kind of cute!"
“啊，上帝，别这样。不过话说回来米歇尔边说边转身抬头看星星，“记得那个头发有点儿秃顶的男孩吗？他可是真棒！”
Yeah, there are some good ones. It's just that boys are like apples and oranges. Some are sweet and some are tart! So you just have to know the three R's of dating, responsiveness, responsibility, and readiness. Then you'll be ready to respond at the right time with a responsible decision to date a boy or not!
“是的，还是有一些不错的男孩。因为他们就像苹果和橘子。有的甜，有的酸！所以你一定得知道约会的基本技能：及时反应，承担责任，随机应变。这样你就会准备好在合适的时候做出反应，对要不要与一个男孩约会做出负责任的决定！”
Oh, hey! Michelle suddenly said. "There goes that one that I was just talking about!"
“噢，天哪！”米歇尔突然说。“我刚才说起的那个男孩走过去了！”
Don't go after him now! Jill said."He just cut in front of us earlier!"
“现在别跟他走！”吉尔说。“他刚在我们面前插过队！”
That was there and then. I'm ready now!
“就是当时当地。现在我已经准备好了！”
