Renowned Hong Kong novelist Ni Kuang has passed away aged 87.Hailed as one of the "Four Great Talents of Hong Kong Literature",Ni specialized in martial-arts stories, in what's known as the Wuxia genre, and science fiction.Along with his prolific collection of novels,he wrote 300 screenplays that had a profound impact throughout the Chinese-speaking world.Fans across generations here have been mourning his passing.His best-known works include The Wisely Series of novels, and scripts for The One-Armed Swordsman and Bruce Lee's Fist of Fury.He passed away from skin cancer on Sunday afternoon."For those who are a bit old, they all know that the three greatest talents in the literary world are Jin Yong, Gu Long and Ni Kuang.After that, no such iconic and epoch-making people have appeared. I am wondering if this is the end of an era."
