What we understand from doctors treating him that Mr. Navalny is in a critical condition.He is in a coma and on a ventilator，and that comes after he took ill on a flight from the Siberian city of Tomsk on his way back to Moscow.He was flying with his spokeswoman Kira Yarmysh, who has been tweeting about events this morning,and she says that he took...uh...took ill on that flight,and they had to carry out an emergency landing in another city called Omsk also in Siberia and he was rushed to hospital from there.We understand that he was unconscious when he came off the plane and was taken out on a stretcher to the hospital.he's now being treated.The doctors say they have not confirmed the diagnosis, but they've carried out a number of tests.But Kira Yarmysh, Alexei Navalny's press spokeswoman says that she believes he was poisoned,and she believes that he was poisoned in a cup of tea that he drank at Tomsk airport.Now that has not been confirmed there is an investigation underway.We've also been hearing from the Kremlin in the last few minutes.The spokesman for Russian president Vladimir Putin, Dmitry Peskov says that he wishes Mr. Navalny a speedy recovery.And there's also been discussion that Navalny might be sent to the West, sent outside of Russia for medical treatment.And Mr. Peskov,the kremlin spokesman says that the kremlin would be happy to help facilitate that.
