From NRP News in Washington, I'm Jack Spear.?British Prime Minister David Cameron is describing the threat posed by the Islamic militant group ISIS as even more severe than that posed by Al-Qaeda.As results, the British leader today announced it's raising the terror threat designation in Britain to severe, the second highest level.While officials say they were responded to any specific threat,Cameron says recent moves by the group of Islamic State is another bear watching.?They're ambitious to create an extremist caliphate in the heart of Iraq and Syria is a threat to our own security here in the UK.And that is in addition to the many others Al-Qaeda inspired terrorist groups that exist in that region.The White House do its part says it's not expected any uptick in the US threat levelthough officials stress they're in touch with the British counterparts.Now it's believed as many as 500 Britain has gone to fight in Syria or Iraq.?The Pentagon says air operations in Iraq against Islamic State now costs half a billion dollars since it began in June.NPR's Tom Bowman reportsthe military is also looking to expand training effort for moderate rebels in neighboring Syria.?The Obama administration has asked the Congress for 500 million dollars to increase trainees for rebel forces were fighting both Islamic State and the Assad regime.The CIA already provided some limited trains to moderate rebels in Syria.Pentagon's Spokesman Rear Admiral John Kirby saidbefore the military takes part, there're a number of huddles to overcome.You’ve got to have a moderate opposition you can rely on.
