From NPR News in Washington, I'm Jack Spear.Senate democrats say they will introduce legislations and respond to the Supreme Court's decisionallowing businesses to refuse to advice contraceptive as part of employee's health care plan.NPR's Laura Sullivan has more.Senator Patty Murray, a democrat from Washington saysshe will introduce legislation in coming weeks that will attempt to work around the Supreme Court ruling.Murray says the court's decision allowing family owned and the closely held businesses to opt out of the providing birth control,undermine a woman's ability to make private health care decisions.Murray and 18 other senate democrats found an immediate brief in this case.While many conservative of law makers praised the court's decision,many democrats, especially female lawmakers expressed outrage.They say they will spend July for 3 sides carefully examing the rulingand figuring out the best type of the legislation to introduce when the senate returns next week.Laura Sullivan, NPR News, the capital.The extremist group that has swept over much of north of Iraq is now calling on Muslims there to come to seize territory and help build an Islamist state.In an audio tape, the group's leader is exhorting Muslims regardless of their nationalities to take part.Meanwhile Sunni and Kurds walk out of the first session of Iraq's new parliament today.As for Shiah, failed to name prime minister replaced Nouri al-Maliki,further diminishing hope for national unity government to save the country from collapse.California raises its minimum wage today from 8 dollars to 9 dollars an hour.NPR's Sam Sanders reportsit's the state first hike in six years.
