From NPR news in Washington, I'm Jack Speer.The man suspected of masterminding the attack on the US mission on Benghazi, Libya that claim the lives of US embassador Christopher Stevens and three others is in US custody.According to the Pentagon,US military officials in cooperation with law-enforcement personnel,catch the man identify as Ahmed Abu Khatallah over the weekend.Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell called the the capture good news.He says the terrorist should be a good source of information.The most valuable thing we can get from the terrorist is information about who else was involved in it.We will be watching closely to see how much information they glean from Ahmed and how they handling it.Apprehension of the suspect Sunday has been seen as a major breakthrough in the now two-and-a-half-year-old investigation into the attack.Present Obama's handling of the attack has been a lightening rod for GOP law makerswho's accused of failing to apprehend those behind it.Reports from Nigeria say a public venue showing soccer World Cup matches has been hit by explosion,casualties were trucked to a nearby hospital,NPR's Ofeibea Quist-Arcton reportsit's not immediately clear if any one was killed in the blasting, Northeast Nigeria.Residents and Nigerian officials report that an explosion ripped through a venue in Damaturu Townas soccer fans gathered to watch a World Cup game.Witnesses near the scene heard an loud boom.Concerned about potential attacks,the Nigerian authorities have warn people to avoid public screening of the World Cup.Two weeks ago, more than a dozen people were killed in a bomb explosion targeting another popular informal soccer watching venue in northeast Nigeria.
