筚路蓝缕创伟业，初心不忘再起航。庆祝中国共产党成立100周年文艺演出《伟大征程》28日晚在国家体育场盛大举行。习近平、李克强、栗战书、汪洋、王沪宁、赵乐际、韩正、王岐山等党和国家领导人，同约2万名观众一起观看演出，共同回顾中国共产党成立100年来波澜壮阔的光辉历程，共同祝福伟大的党带领中国人民迈进新征程、奋进新时代。

Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, joined around 20,000 people on Monday evening to watch a grand gala in Beijing in celebration of the centenary of the CPC's founding.

周一晚上，中共中央总书记习近平与大约2万名观众一起在北京观看了庆祝中国共产党成立100周年的盛大晚会。

中共中央政治局常委（Members of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee）李克强、栗战书、汪洋、王沪宁、赵乐际、韩正以及国家副主席（Vice-President）王岐山也一同在国家体育场（National Stadium，又称鸟巢，Bird's Nest）观看了晚会（watched the gala）。
19时57分许，习近平等领导同志走进体育场，全场响起热烈的掌声（warm applause）和欢呼声。
随着激昂深情的歌声响起，绚烂的焰火（fireworks）升腾出“100”的纪年，盛放在国家体育场上空（lit up the night sky over the stadium）。舞台上，点点星火汇聚成党徽（Party emblem）的图案，拉开演出帷幕（kicking off the grand gala event）。
这场演出名为《伟大征程》（The Great Journey），以大型情景史诗形式呈现（presented in the style of a large-scale theater production），共分为四个篇章，通过歌舞（music and dance）、舞台剧（stage plays）、纪录片（documentary video）等形式，生动展现中国共产党百年来带领中国人民进行革命、建设、改革（leading the people in pursuing revolution, construction and reform）的壮美画卷，热情讴歌党的十八大以来，在以习近平同志为核心的党中央坚强领导下（under the leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Xi at its core），中国特色社会主义进入新时代，昂首阔步迈向全面建设社会主义现代化国家（fully realizing a modern socialist country）的新征程。
第一篇章“浴火前行”，生动展现在大革命的烽烟中，在艰险的长征路上，在抗日战争（the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression）、解放战争（the War of Liberation）的沙场上，中国共产党团结带领中国人民浴血奋战、淬火成钢的伟大历程。
第二篇章“风雨无阻”回顾热火朝天的社会主义革命和建设（socialist revolution and construction）年代，讴歌志愿军（Chinese People's Volunteer Army）战士在抗美援朝战争（the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea）中保家卫国的炽热情怀。
第三篇章“激流勇进”，展现了中国共产党自20世纪70年代末实行改革开放（the reform and opening-up policy）以来取得的巨大成就（great achievements），包括香港、澳门回归祖国怀抱（Hong Kong's and Macao's return to the motherland），以及全国人民勠力同心（Chinese people's solidarity）、众志成城，取得抗击“非典”（win the battle against the SARS epidemic）、抗震救灾的伟大胜利。
第四篇章“锦绣前程”，展开一幅新时代的壮阔图景，阐述了在习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想指导下（under the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era），中国特色社会主义（socialism with Chinese characteristics）进入新时代，特别是中国在消除绝对贫困（elimination of absolute poverty）、全民抗击新冠肺炎疫情（people's war against the COVID-19 pandemic）等方面取得的成就，同时彰显了中国对“构建人类命运共同体”（the building of a community with a shared future for mankind）的坚定承诺。
