TEXT:Syrian refugees gather for the funeral of an eight year old boy killed by Syrian forces. Bilal was killed as he tried to cross the border into Jordan with his family. Thousands of Syrian refugees are pouring into Jordan to escape escalating violence back home. (Explosions) This is the scene near Aleppo according to video posted to a social media website. Activists say Syrian forces are bombarding the area to try and stop fighters from resupplying rebels in Aleppo. The country's 16-month uprising has in the past week centered on Aleppo and Damascus where troops and rebels are in a fierce battle for control. Reuters cannot independently confirm the content of these videos or reports of an attack on a mosque in Harak. Deborah Gembara, Reuters.

TEXT:London's Houses of Parliament at Westminster were awash in images Friday night to celebrate the start of the 2012 Olympic Games. Pictures depicting London's last Olympic Games from 1908 and 1948 were projected onto the buildings giving passers-by a glimpse into the past. UNIDENTIFIED MAN SAYING: "Well, I thought it was quite a good representation of how we got to here and what we've done before. I didn't know anything about 1908 even though I'm a really old man. I don't really remember 1948, well only vaguely, I knew it happened. But I thought it was very good and I enjoyed it." The Games opening ceremony was a mix of all things British-- from the Queen, who was comically portrayed skydiving into the stadium, to an army of yellow submarines paying tribute to the Beatles. Spectators found the event thrilling, if at times a bit strange. UNKNOWN BRITISH MAN SAYING: "My favourite bit was when the queen fell out of the helicopter but missed the stadium. That was amazing, amazing. Incredible show." ROLAND, BRITISH MAN, LEAVING OPENING CEREMONY, SAYING; "My favourite part.. Muhammad Ali, good to see Muhammad Ali. It was quite odd. Arctic Monkeys as well playing was really good. I liked that. And free tickets as well. Danny Boyle did a good job, I think, definitely." The event ended with a massive display of fireworks. Inventor, Dr. Richard Deutsch says his product placement is the perfect way to make the most of a captive audience. Dr. Richard Deutsch, inventor of interactive urinal screen, Wizmark, saying (English): "People are bombarded with messages either pro-social or product promotions and that they remember very few of them. The delivery system is unique in the matter that everybody remembers a message that they hear from a talking urinal. " Once Wizmark is triggered, an audio message plays after a six second delay, the average time a man needs to unzip. And for some patrons, relieving themselves now means more than pointing and aiming. John Baird, patron of Irish Coffee pub, saying (English): "You're standing there and you're a captive audience, I couldn't walk away. And it was telling me what to do so I guess that's good." Pat McKenna, patron of Irish Coffee pub, saying (English): "Some people will giggle but some people will think." Ethan Bortnick, pianist, saying (English): "On the little toy keyboard, I was playing everything that I heard I would just start mimicking on it. But I was very bad because my little keyboard, it was like ten keys, but then I learned it for real - but after my parents saw they finally said I could have piano lessons." The 11-year-old has shared a stage with stars like Beyonce and Elton John and he headlined a show in Las Vegas at the age of nine. For which he earned the Guinness World Records title of "The World's Youngest Solo Musician to Headline his own Tour". Now the sixth grader is hitting the road again for a 22 city U.S. tour titled "It's All About Music". SOUNDBITE: Ethan Bortnick, pianist, saying (English): "I'm going to play all kinds of music, classical, jazz, pop, my own music, all kinds of music.
