The Victorian was known as an aggressive and talented batsman who could turn a match. He played 52 tests for Australia and was inducted into the Australian Cricket Hall of Fame last year.

Mr Andrews will front the inquiry into the state's hotel quarantine program later today, following the health minister's appearance, in which she joined a growing list of officials saying they don't know who made the decision to use private security guards.
